A new coal based Power Plant has been established at Qadirabad, near Sahiwal. The coal is to be transported from Karachi by rail. To ensure regular in time supply, PR decided to upgrade the existing small Station Yard at Yousafwala (a station next to Sahiwal towards Lahore) and connect Yousafwala with Power Plant. The work involved laying of new track, points & crossings, and welding of rails. The work stands completed and Coal Trains are operating on newly constructed line since February 2017. The job was completed well within the target time lines
